SUMMARY:Basic Metal Lathe: training for Members only
DESCRIPTION:DESCRIPTION: This is the basic metal lathe training. It is requ
 ired for check-off on the metal lathes (i.e.\, to get badge access to the 
 lathes in the machining area). We will go over safety\, the parts of a lat
 he\, basic turning\, facing\, and drilling operations\, and lathe care/cle
 anup. This will be a hands-on class\, and participants will have opportuni
 ties to operate the lathe a bit during the training. Members only (since t
 he lathe is a red tool).\n\nDATE AND TIME: October 29\, 2022\, 10AM-1pm.\n
 \nCOST AND REFUND POLICY: $20 per person. The fee goes 100% back to the ma
 chining area. Must cancel by the Wednesday before the class to get a refun
 d. If the fee is a financial obstacle to your participation\, DM @mark-i-m
  on slack.\n\nSAFETY: Bring eye protection. Closed shoes only (no sandals\
 , flip-flops\, sock shoes\, etc). No jewelry of any kind (rings\, bracelet
 s\, necklaces). Long hair should be tied back or in a bun. No baggy sleeve
 s or drawstrings (e.g.\, on a hoody or jacket) or any other dangly things 
 that could get caught and drawn into a machine.\n\nAGE GROUP: Adults (age 
 &gt\;= 18) only.\n\nMIN AND MAX STUDENTS: -infinity to 6\, respectively.\n
