DESCRIPTION:Want to know the basics of how to sew by hand? It's easier than
  you think\, and will unlock a world of possibilities!\nIn this one-day cl
 ass\, you'll learn how to:\nThread a sewing needle\, use a thimble\, and a
 bout different types of thread and their uses\, both historical and modern
 .\nHow to sew: backstitch\, running backstitch\, basting stitch\, whip sti
 tch and felling stitch\, and buttonhole stitch\, and when each of these me
 thods is appropriate.\nYou'll practice and complete a small sewing sampler
  using these skills.\nWe'll also discuss fabric types and their uses\, and
  how to tell the difference between them. A variety of fabrics will be ava
 ilable to feel and touch!\nMaterials (needles\, a small number of thimbles
  to try out\, thread\, and fabric) will be provided.\nChildren welcome\, b
 ut please only kids with age appropriate ability to manage a sharp needle\
 , and parent supervision is required for kids under 14.\nCost: $18 per per
