DESCRIPTION:Pens—How to Turn\n\nYou must be checked off on the lathes bef
 ore taking this class!\n\nFather's Day is coming up\, just sayin'.\n\nTurn
 ing a pen is a great way to practice spindle turning techniques and create
  a finished gift for someone special (or for you!). Turning a pen involves
  following a process to correctly size and assemble multiple pieces into a
  finished item. It also involves a new method of workholding called a mand
 rel in addition to using a chuck. We will also discuss finishing technique
 s and the process for turning complex projects as well as deciphering proj
 ect kit instructions.\n\nTuesday\, June 10\, 6:30pm to 9:30 pm\n$75 ($65 f
 or the class\, $10 for the pen kit)\nRefunds available by June 8.\n\nMaxim
 um four students per class.\nYou’ll be using the wood lathes and HSS tur
 ning tools\n\nThis class is open to anyone who is already checked off on t
 he lathes and is interested in advancing their turning skills. Kids 10 and
  up ok\, but under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.\n\nIf a student alr
 eady has turning tools\, please clear them with me before class—gouges a
 nd skews should be sharpened before use.\n\nClosed toe shoes are required.
  Long hair must be pulled back. No exceptions.\n\nThe class meets in the W
 oodturning area outside of the Woodshop where the wood lathes are located.
 \n\nPlease arrive on time. Non-members\, please arrive at least 5 minutes 
 before class. Our buildings are locked 24/7 and you’ll need to be let in
 side. Students arriving 15 minutes or more late will not be refunded and n
