SUMMARY:Woodturning with the Skew *members and public*
DESCRIPTION:Woodturning with the Skew\n\nYou must be checked-off on the lat
 hes before taking this class.\n\nMany woodturners are unfamiliar with or a
 re not comfortable using the skew for spindle turning. The skew is the ori
 ginal woodturning tool\, and can be extremely efficient once mastered. Thi
 s class will introduce turners to using the skew to turn spindles safely\,
  with proper technique. The possibilities are endless once this skill is l
 earned!\n\nNOTE: The skew and the spindle roughing gouge are NEVER used fo
 r turning bowls! Please note that this is not a project-based class\, and 
 we will be practicing on scrap wood.\n\nFriday\, September 20\, 6:30 to 8:
 30 pm\n\nCOST: $50\nMaximum four students per class. 
You’ll be using 
 the wood lathes and HSS skew turning tools.\n\nThis class is open to Bodge
 ry members interested in advancing their turning skills. Kids 10 and up ok
  if they are truly interested in woodturning\, but under 13 must be accomp
 anied by an adult.\n\nIf a student already has turning tools\, please clea
 r them with me before class—skews must be sharpened before use.\n\nClose
 d toe shoes are required. Long hair must be pulled back. No exceptions.

 The class meets in the “Woodturning” part of the Shop where the wood l
 athes are located.\n\nRefunds before 9/15. Please arrive on time. Students
  arriving 15 minutes or more late will not be refunded.\n\nContact: Slack
