SUMMARY:Woodturning with the Skew *members only*
DESCRIPTION:Woodturning with the Skew\n\nYou must be checked-off on the lat
 hes before taking this class.\n\nMany woodturners are unfamiliar with or a
 re not comfortable using the skew for spindle turning. The skew is the ori
 ginal woodturning tool\, and can be extremely efficient once mastered. Thi
 s class will introduce turners to using the skew to turn spindles safely\,
  with proper technique. The possibilities are endless once this skill is l
 earned!\n\nNOTE: The skew and the spindle roughing gouge are NEVER used fo
 r turning bowls! Please note that this is not a project-based class\, and 
 we will be practicing on scrap wood.\n\nSunday\, May 12\, 5:00 pm to 7:00 
 pm\n\nClass cost: $45.\nMaximum three students per class. 
You’ll be u
 sing the wood lathes and HSS skew turning tools.\n\nThis class is open to 
 Bodgery members interested in advancing their turning skills. Kids 10 and 
 up ok if they are truly interested in woodturning\, but under 13 must be a
 ccompanied by an adult.\n\nIf a student already has turning tools\, please
  clear them with me before class—skews must be sharpened before use.\n\n
 Closed toe shoes are required. Long hair must be pulled back. No exception
 s.
The class meets in the “Woodturning” part of the Shop where the w
 ood lathes are located.\n\nIf necessary\, please cancel at least 48 hours 
 in advance since class size is limited by the equipment available. Please 
 arrive on time. Students arriving 15 minutes will not be allowed to take t
