An introductory class for the 3D Modeling tool Fusion 360, a commonly used and free (to hobbyists) staple at The Bodgery for both 3d printing and machining design. If you want to learn how to design your own parts, this course will walk you through the basics of Fusion 360, and will show you some of the handy tricks that we wish we learned before we started designing with Fusion.
You will leave the class with a solid understanding of how to approach designing a part in Fusion, and how to export and prepare files for printing on the 3d printers at The Bodgery.
You are welcome to bring a part that you would like to replicate, sketches for a part you would like to design, or we will have some sample parts you can use for reference.
We ask that you make sure you have an active Fusion360 hobbyist license, and have tested your login credentials before arriving to class so we can focus as much time as possible on learning. You can do so by following this link:
https://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/personal
The cost for the class is $55, which will be charged through PayPal and paid to The Bodgery when you register.
The class limit is 6 members, so book your ticket early. You can cancel until 3 days before class.
NOTE: Whatever Covid-19 policies are in place on June 9th are to be followed during class.
