This class will be a three (3) hour still life session held Saturday October 22nd from 4PM-7PM in the Bodgery’s clean room/craft room.
The class will be gently instructed with periods of free work time along with demonstrations. All skill levels are welcome, no matter if you’re a practiced artist looking for a working session or someone who has thought about drawing but hasn’t found the excuse to start.
Students will be provided with:
* An autumnal and Halloween themed still life to draw
* Paper, charcoal, pencils, and erasers
Students will learn how to:
* Create their composition with intentionality
* Use the “envelope” of the drawing to get proportions correct
* To apply value in black and white drawings
* Other tips and tricks for drawing from life!
Students are welcome to bring any other medium to use for their still life. Watercolors, acrylic paint, pastels, etc. are all welcome, but will not be provided. If bringing oil paints, please limit the paints brought to water soluble oil paints and no solvents.
The cost of the class is $22 per person.
Refunds will only be provided if the class is canceled.
Please remember to wear clothing you are alright getting a little arts-and-crafts on. There are always casualties in the art of art.
