Come learn how to use the elusive, the wonderful, the members-only, red-tool, the Vinyl Cutter-er-er-er. What can it cut? Vinyl! That’s what! You’ll learn what you need to know to prep your files, how to set up the machine, get hands-on experience running the machine yourself, learn how to cut your design properly, as well as how to weed and apply your design. You’ll also learn various applications, tricks, and tips for when working with vinyl. Want to make a sticker? Use vinyl. Need to make a mask to spray paint something or etch a cool design in glass? Use vinyl. Want to do some short run screen printing? Use vinyl!
This class will cover how to set up the tool, use the software needed to use the tool, and how to process and apply the final product. This class does not cover how to create design files, but some tips will be given.
The class will last 1.5-2hrs. You’ll make a standard Bodgery logo that you can take with you to put on your favorite mug, car, or child. At this time, we ask that you bring a mask as you may need to stand close to other students to see demonstrations.
This class counts as your red-tool checkoff.
