Practice outside of class will be necessary. This 7-week beginner’s pottery course will teach you how to throw on the wheel. In this class, you will learn how to make a piece on the wheel from start to finish. This includes the basics of working with clay, setting up a pottery wheel, centering, throwing forms such as mugs, bowls, and vases and glazing and surface design. No experience necessary. This will also count as the area check-off for reserving time on the wheel.
Dates: April 5th – May 17th Wednesdays 6:00 P.M. – 7:30 P.M.
Cost and refund: $250 for the entire 7-week course. Refund with cancelation notice within 1 week prior to the first class. The cost of in-class clay and finished pieces are included in the class fee.
Clothing: Bring something to get dirty, avoid long sleeves.
Age: 18+
Max 3 Students. Refund will be issued if the class does not fill up.
Students should gather in the Ceramics area and wheels will be used.
