This class is great for beginners looking to try out lampworking or someone with a bit of experience looking to expand their skill set.
Most time will be spent hands-on where students will be using a small propane “hot head” torch making glass beads. This form of hot glass work is called lampworking.
The class will cover the glass tools and equipment used in lampworking, torch and glass work safety, bead making demonstrations, and hands-on bead making.
All tools, glass, and safety equipment will be provided. Class will take place in Hot glass/Stain-glass area.
I recommend wearing cotton clothes you don’t care too much about. Touching hot glass or tools to you or your clothes is rare but accidents can happen. Close toed shoes are encouraged.
Please feel free to bring your own didymium safety glasses if you would like to use your own.
Cost is $30. Refund with cancelation notice within 48 hours. If cancelling within 48 hours, no refund can be offered but a seat can be held for you at the next available class at no cost.
Min 1 student, Max 3 Students
All fees from this class will be reinvested into the hot glass area.
