This class is a hands-on introduction to lampworking using the dual-fuel torches. The first part of this class will teach how to use the space, torches, and tools safely. The instructor will demonstrate how to make a solid glass icicle ornament and inkwell dipping pens and then the students will be given open workshop time to create their own. If time is available, the instructor may also do a demonstration showing how to make hollow glass ornaments. Included in this class are 4 hours off additional torch time that the students may use outside of class to practice. All safety equipment, tools, and materials are provided.
Date and time of the class: Sunday, December 3rd – 11:00AM – 2:00PM. It may go longer – plan for 3-4 hours
Cost and refund policy: Class Fee is $60. Refund with cancelation notice within 48 hours. If cancelling within 48 hours, no refund (You’re welcome to find a replacement for yourself at that time and arrange for them to pay you directly).
Safety: Recommend wearing cotton clothes you don’t care too much about. Touching hot glass or tools to you or your clothes is rare but accidents can happen. Close toed shoes are encouraged. Long hair should be tied up.
