Kumiko Class Outline Oct 2019 (1)

Learn the basics of kumiko by making a square Asa-no-Ha pattern. We will talk about tools, techniques, making kumiko strips and how to use the jigs to produce this beautiful pattern.

Bring any tools you have – specifically a small block plane, 1/8″ chisel, steel rule and Japanese saw. I will have some tools to share with the class if you don’t have your own. I will also provide the jigs needed.

Class runs from 5-9pm on July 11th (Monday) in the Shop Classroom.

Minimum of 5 participants and a maximum of 8.

Refund policy: Refunds can be provided up to a week before the class. Positive COVID case? You can withdraw from class and have your place held for the next class.

Vince’s work can be viewed on instagram (vincewcook) or on his website (vincewcook.com). No age minimum and no woodworking experience necessary.

Questions? Reach out to Vince at vincewcook@gmail.com
