This is a great opportunity to draw the human figure from life. Short Poses give the model the chance to explore the space with their body, and take on dynamic and exciting poses that would not be possible in a longer format. Though drawing instruction is not provided, all skill levels are welcome, and beginners are encouraged to come a little early for tips or help setting up.
Poses will be a mix of 30 seconds, 2 minute, 5 minute, and 10, 15, or 20 minutes. Short breaks will be roughly every 30 minutes, and the total run time is 2 hours.
The space is lit and curated for artistic conditions, and there are lots of desks, chairs and stools, but drawing boards and easles are very limited so we suggest you bring your own. Participants should show up with supplies and ready to draw, and are encouraged to reach out with questions in advance.
If not a member, please arrive at least 5 minutes early as the building is locked 24/7, and you need to be let in.
