This is a informational meeting to setup the project.
we will learn the basics of casting. Preparing the model, making the flask, and firing the piece. We will cover safety, types of models, and how they differ.
Materials will be provided to make a model in wax and casting in brass. Silver or other metals can be used but not supplied. Reps from 3d printing will be there to answer any questions about building a model. (all costs for that are not included). Wax will be provided at the meeting and will try to setup a date to cast model once we have an idea how many will be available.(burnout schedules for different materials).
This mandatory to do the class.
