Does sewing with a machine seem daunting? Have you tried before but need more tips and tricks to get you back into it? Or just always wanted to learn, but never found the time? Here’s your chance!
This class will cover the basics of how to use a basic sewing machine. You’ll learn about the tools used, different types of needles, thread, stitches, and presser feet, as well as how to troubleshoot when something goes wrong.
To apply your knowledge in class, you will make a drawstring bag.
Note to students: While there will be some sewing machines used in class, if you have your own and would like to bring it, you are welcome to in order to familiarize yourself with the machine you will be using for personal projects. Don’t forget the pedal and power cord.
