This class will go over the basics of handbuilding and allow individuals who are interested in ceramics to play around with clay. The class will include slipping and scoring, as well as coil building and rolling slabs. Each individual will receive 1.5lbs of clay to make whatever they please. What can be made may include but are not limited to: pots, creatures, boxes, small sculptures, pendants, etc. The second portion of the class will include underglazing and getting pieces ready to be fired a second time.
June 6th, and 22nd, from 10:00am-1:00pm
$35 cost per person, may be refunded in full a week before class starts.
Age: 10+
Minimum students 3, maximum 9
Class will be held in the handbuilding portion of the ceramics area.
