Silkscreening with Vinyl (Multiple Red/Yellow Tool Checkoffs)
Class Summary:
In this class you will make your own screenprinted patches.
This screenprinting method uses vinyl to create your silkscreen, which is a simple 1 day process that doesn’t require use of toxic chemicals. The downside is that it is much less permanent and detailed than the results you can achieve with photoemulsion.
Red/Yellow Tool Checkoffs:
Vinyl Cutter (Red Tool)
Screenprinting Area (Red Tool)
Flash Unit (Red Tool)
Serger (Yellow Tool) *(Optional at end of class)
Miscellaneous Skills Taught:
– Basic Inkscape
– How to go from traditional art background to digital CNC work using the path tracing tool
– Screenprinting on fabric
