In this class students will hand fabricate a sterling silver bezel set ring. This class is designed for folks who have taken a jewelry class before and are somewhat familiar with fabrication, torch use, and finishing techniques. If you are unsure if you fall into this group contact the instructor.
**Come to class with a cabochon, max 10×12 mm oval. Ovals and circles preferred. Mohs scale 6-7, no feldspars (Moonstone, labradorite, etc). Jaspers are always a good choice. You can get these from the East Johnson St location of Burnie’s rock shop.
CLASS GOALS
-Fabricate bezel setting to match stone.
-Use of needle files + sandpaper
-Soldering basics
-Polish on buffing wheels
March 7, 2026, 9 am – 1 pm
$115 / person, materials included.
Refund available up until one week before class.
Safety: come with closed toed shoes and long hair tied back. No loose clothing or jewelry. If you have your own safety goggles you prefer please bring them. N95 mask or equivalent ARE REQUIRED and will be provided by the instructor if you do not bring your own.
Ages 18+
Minimum 1 student, maximum 3. Class may be cancelled if minimum numbers are not met.
