Not sure how to do something? You’ve come to the right place.
- How long is my membership active?
- It’s active until you cancel it. You may cancel at any time. You may restart membership at any time.
- Payments are in-advance, so your membership will remain active until the next payment is due. For example, monthly memberships remain active for a month (about 30 days) after the last payment.
- How do I pause/suspend/cancel my membership?
- There are two equally effective ways to stop membership payments:
- By using the membership website…
- Go to Member Account and Log In
- Choose Subscriptions
- Choose Cancel
- By using PayPal…
- Log into the PayPal account you are using for Bodgery payments, or use the PayPal phone app
- After logging in, you may need to first click/tap Proceed to Account Overview or My PayPal to get to the main PayPal account summary screen
- On the main PayPal account summary screen, click/tap the gear icon (settings) near the upper right corner
- Click/tap Payments in the menu near the top middle of the screen
- Click/tap Automatic Payments
- You should see a list of your recent PayPal payments, likely on the left side. You might need to scroll down, or select “show more” if you don’t see The Bodgery right away. When you do, click/tap on The Bodgery payment entry, then click/tap Cancel. This will cancel your automatic recurring membership payment that is associated with the Bodgery.
- By using the membership website…
- Remember that your membership ends about 30 days after your last monthly payment, not immediately when you cancel.
- There are two equally effective ways to stop membership payments:
- I clicked SIGN UP but instead of going to PayPal it gets stuck
- Try reloading the stuck page by clicking the browser button that looks like an arrow bent into a circle (or by typing Control-R)
- Try signing into PayPal in another web browser tab. Then go back and set up the membership. This way PayPal should already be logged in when setting up the membership payment.
- If that doesn’t work, email membership@thebodgery.org
- I canceled my membership. How do I reactivate/restart it?
- Go to Member Account and Log In
- Choose Subscriptions
- Your inactive subscription should be listed. Click on the Subscribe link next to it.
- You must also contact the membership coordinator to tell them that you reactivated so they can turn your key fob back on. Either…
- Use Slack. Search for “membership” to find the current membership coordinator. Send them a direct message.
- or use Email: membership@thebodgery.org
- To reactivate for only a month, cancel your membership (see above) right away, or any time before your next payment. Membership ends about 30 days after your last monthly payment.
- Attending a new member orientation is not required when reactivating membership. If it’s been awhile, it’s good to check with Area Captains about area changes.
- It says “You have a problem with one or more of your subscriptions”
- Cancel the subscription that is causing the problem
- If it still isn’t working for you, contact the membership coordinator using Slack or by emailing membership@thebodgery.org
- I don’t know what my password is.
- Go to Member Account to Log In and choose Forgot Password to reset it. You will receive an email with further instructions.
- My PayPal payment failed (credit card expired, etc). What should I do?
- Fix the PayPal issue. In five days, PayPal will retry the payment again. If the retry fails, your Bodgery subscription will stop and you will need to reactivate (see above) to continue Bodgery membership.
- I need a new key fob because mine is lost/broken
- There is no cost for replacements, but you will to get the new key fob and contact the membership coordinator to get the replacement activated. For details…
- Either go to the Members-Only Information page. You must be logged in to your membership account. A link to this info page is also on your Member Account page.
- Or see the info attached to the Slack #ask-the-board channel.
- There is no cost for replacements, but you will to get the new key fob and contact the membership coordinator to get the replacement activated. For details…
