Vince Cook, from Minnesota, has taught this class once already, and we expect demand for a repeat.

The class will introduce participants to Hexagonal Kumiko and how to hand
cut the Mitsukude (three way half-lap) joint. During class you will make a small piece.

If students have the following tools, please bring them; otherwise Vince will
have some available to share in the class:

  • Dozuki – a Japanese drawcut saw with very fine tooth set (0.2mm), or fine dovetail saw;
  • Kanna – a Japanese plane or a small block plane;
  • ⅛” (3mm) chisel;
  • Small square;
  • Marking knife;
  • Marking gauge;
  • Sliding bevel gauge
