Timber Framing WorkShop
In this 5 Session class we build a complete Timber Frame Structure from conception through completion with a raising and appropriate topping out ceremony.
We have opened up the remaining three spots in our Timber Frame Workshop to individual classes. You may sign up for one class date. For people who would like to attend one session, please chose the $150 option to attend any one day of the dates listed below. Please reach out to Mike to let him know when you plan to attend.
We will complete this Structure with use of hand tools. Completion of this class will give students the skill Confidence and knowledge to complete there own Timber Frame Project.
Students will become proficient in
- Layout and Marking Joinery
- How To Choose and Join Irregular Material
- Winding Timbers finding the perfect smaller Timber Within every imperfect Timber
- Maintaining and Sharpening Edge Tool
- How to choose and Cut Joinery in Timber
- Material Sourcing and Conversion
- Timber Design Basics
Class will take place in the Flex space in the Annex on 3/2, 3/9, 3/16, 3/23, 3/30; thats five Consecutive Saturdays in March. From 9 am to 5 pm
Please wear comfortable work appropriate clothing
