Timber Framing WorkShop
In this 5 Session class we build a complete Timber Frame Structure from conception through completion with a raising and appropriate topping out ceremony
We will complete this Structure with use of hand tools. Completion of this class will give students the skill Confidence and knowledge to complete there own Timber Frame Project.
Students will become proficient in
- Layout and Marking Joinery
- How To Choose and Join Irregular Material
- Winding Timbers finding the perfect smaller Timber Within every imperfect Timber
- Maintaining and Sharpening Edge Tool
- How to choose and Cut Joinery in Timber
- Material Sourcing and Conversion
- Timber Design Basics
Class will take place in the Flex space in the Annex on 4/6, 4/13, 4/20, 4/27, and 5/4. That’s five Consecutive Saturdays in April and May, from 9 am to 5 pm
Please wear comfortable work appropriate clothing
